Use Water To Fuel Our Cars

icon1 Posted in Auto Fuel on 07 2nd, 2008 | no responses

If gas cost $10 a gallon would you rather use water to fuel your car? Gas has not reached that price yet but it could and probably will do exactly that one day. We are using up the world reserves of oil fast and demand continues to grow. With all this demand the price of oil can only continue to rise. When we start to run out of the oil we depend on we may think that $10 per gallon would be cheap.

The alternative energy supplies we have heard about for years are slowly developing but we need to be building lots of them right now. We must all start using less energy and less gas in any way we can before it all starts to run out.

It has long been known that water is made up of hydrogen and water and we also know that hydrogen is a powerful fuel. There is a way to get the hydrogen out of the water but in the past it was always thought uneconomical.

Now hobbyists and engineers have developed easy to build systems that can make hydrogen gas from water. The gas can then be used as part of the fuel used to run your car engine.

They say that you can just buy the various parts at a local hardware store and assemble the kit in your garage. You then just spend a couple of hours fitting it to your car and you are ready to generate hydrogen gas from water.

The idea of using water to power our cars has always been a dream and even with these systems you do still need to buy and use gas but adding hydrogen should reduce the amount of gas you have to buy and use.

It is difficult to know how much gas you might save with these kits fitted to your car. Some people claim to double the miles they get for each gallon of gas but they may be special situations. Most folk reckon on saving about 20% or more so that comes to a great saving when you see the price gas is these days.
